Today we are talking about Nihilism: nothing really matters, nothing is really true, and nothing is really any better than anything else.
“You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist.” – Friedrich Nietzsche
Friedrich Nietzsche was keenly aware of the poverty of Enlightenment thought, but rather than return to classical or Christian wisdom, Nietzsche embarked on a path of nihilistic thought that inspired much of the intellectual chaos we see in our word today. According to Nietzsche, humans are driven by the will to power. This relegates everything, including philosophy, theology and truth, as expressions of the desire to oppress others.
